Hello, my name is Jane Johnston

I trained as a nurse and a midwife, working in the NHS for over 40 years. I developed an interest for Yoga in my early 20s which has continued throughout my life. Yoga has benefitted me personally, maintaining my functional fitness and mental health. Since I have retired I had the opportunity to develop my interest further through training to be a Yoga teacher at Newcastle Yoga School. I love teaching and sharing my passion for Yoga.

Gentle Yoga 

1 hour of gentle yoga suitable for beginners, those who would like a refresher or those returning to exercise from injury or illness. The session includes breathing work, guided meditation, and recovery.

Sunrise Yoga

30 minute online class suitable for those who have a basic knowledge of yoga. Wake up to the day with a full body stretch and movement with some breath work and relaxation.

£15 for 4 class pass

Pregnancy yoga 

A relaxed supportive fun six week Pregnancy Course to support the physical and emotional changes during pregnancy and help you prepare for labour using gentle movement, breath work and relaxation techniques.

Tuesday Evening 7:30pm-8:30pm

£50 for 6weeks (to be used within a 7  week period)

One to One yoga

I recommend Janes yoga classes at Marley Hill. The class is suitable for all levels as Jane explains techniques and adjustments clearly and gives lots of encouragement She has a calm and friendly teaching style that makes you very comfortable. Her demonstrations are clear and she corrects peoples positions with care. I felt she was a very knowledgable and confident teacher I really enjoyed the pace of the class.

Jane is a wonderful inspiring teacher. Her classes are thoughtfully designed to gently build strength and get you connected with your body in a friendly and supportive environment. Last weeks Savasanah was beautiful I nearly fell asleep. Always look forward to Janes teaching
